Are you keen to try out judo? Want to get fit and have fun doing so? Then why not try our free 8 week beginners’ course.
It runs every Michaelmas (October – December), Tuesdays 17:30 – 19:30 in the dojo. No martial arts experience is required, just a willingness to learn!
What you need:
- water bottle
- comfortable gym clothes (ideally with long sleeves and legs).
No hoodies or zips!
At the end of the beginners’ course you’ll be graded by our coaches and may join the regular club sessions.
If you plan to keep training with us, you will need to join the British Judo Association for insurance purposes.
Students benefit from the BJA’s student voucher scheme, which offers a discounted annual membership.
If you want to know more about starting judo at the club, you can:
- chat to us at the Oxford Uni or Oxford Brookes Freshers Fair
- message us on Facebook
- or drop by one of our regular sessions to talk to a coach
Note our club is open to both students and non-students.
We unfortunately cannot accept beginners between January and March.
