Two members of Oxford Judo have just returned from Uzbekistan after taking part in the Kurash World Championships as part of the Great Britain team.
With the new academic year Oxford Judo will be running our renowned beginners course as well as a plethora of advanced classes.
A number of players have been training hard over the summer ready for the next competitive judo season. The graduates and city club players that remain in Oxford over the holidays have continued to train at the Iffley road sports centre as well as regular training at High Wycombe judo centre
The new 2011-2012 Judo Clothing range will be available from October.
Huge congratulations are in order for Oxford Judo judoka Becky Bayliss as she takes the highly prestigious Oxford University Sports Federation award for “Sportswoman of the Year” in 2010! This long-awaited and highly deserved prize recognises Becky’s outstanding talent, consistent competitive successes, and her huge contribution to Oxford Judo over the years.
It has been a long time coming but now Oxford Judo can say that we are the best Sports Club in Oxford! Well, we have been saying it for years anyway, but now we have a huge trophy to prove it because (cue drum-roll) … On Thursday 25th November, Oxford Judo was named as Oxford University Sports Federation “Elmer Cotton Sports Club of the Year”, 2010.
