Oxford Judo Rocks the British Masters

Oxford sent three competitors to the British Masters championships this weekend and returned with three medals. Chris Doherty retained his U81 title from last year with  two comfortable wins by ippon. Greg Mook also repeated as kyu grade champion in U73. Greg also fought the kyu grade age group below his, winning all matches by ippon. Jim Birnie rounded out the medals with a bronze and a win by ippon in U90. Jim was defending his title from last year, but injuries affected his training and his last minute decision to enter was rewarded with a medal.
